So disappointed with Gulley Park Pets Clinic today. My dog was hospitalized in Houston last week, while I was visiting family, because she got into fire ant poison. We're home now but she has had diarrhea for 3 days as a result of the incident, and here it is Friday. I called twice and the message said they are in the office on Fridays and would call back. After still no call, I called a 3rd time and now the message has changed to we're closed on Friday, April 10, due to remodeling. Remodeling is not a last minute event that happens, yet the message wasn't updated until a couple hours after their opening hours, no return call was made. Just left hanging trying to figure out what to do as we go into the weekend. Very concerning lack of response.

After a few years of my family’s animals being seen at Gulley Park, the level of professionalism and trustworthiness has taken a nose dive. We adopted a kitten from the clinic a few months back. There were a few instances between the adoption and this last interaction that left a sour taste in my mouth, but I brushed it off until today. After getting the last round of shots, we scheduled the kittens spay procedure, which was construed as “covered” by the adoption fee ($75) and the $100 deposit was waived. I had a family member drop off our kitten for the procedure, which I had told the desk workers when I scheduled the appointment less than a week earlier. Whoever was working the front desk the day of the procedure was incredibly unorganized and kept trying to get my family member to agree to pricing that was never discussed with me. The girl from the front desk finally called me, saying that she needed to go over the quote and get my consent, to which I responded that I was under the impression that the procedure was covered with the adoption. She said “no, it’s just discounted” and hit me with “$130-260 depending on what you add to the procedure.” While there maybe should have been a longer discussion about what our adoption fee covered before we took our baby home, i have never heard of having to pay for basic routine care (shots & spay/neuter) through a reputable adoption. On top of this sudden and unexpected financial burden, the front desk girl was less than pleasant, never offering any additional helpful information or even compassion for my understandable sticker-shock at 7:45am for what was presented as a fully covered procedure. The clinic has always seemed a bit money-hungry, but this was truly an eye opening interaction at how far they will go for an extra buck.

Have you ever been to a pet clinic where they don't love animals and treat them with care and respect? I didn't think so. You're looking for a pleasant, clean environment and location convenience and GPPC has both. Plenty of parking and easy in and out.

Amazing treat to my dog and I. I have an elde dog and they have been very carefull with his exams, medication and follow up. The veterinarians do and amazing job taking care of you and your pet. They have a really efficient and quick service. I would totally recomend it. There's a parking spot. They answer your questions by phone.
